THE ALT STORY - CHESHAM RECRUITMENT INC. AND INTERAC CO. LTD.

In 2011, Chesham Recruitment Inc. made history, by becoming the first ever POEA licensed recruitment agency to send Philippine Assistant Language Teachers (ALTS) to teach in the public-school system in Japan.

The ALTS are employed by Interac, Japan`s largest provider of ALTS to the public-school system.

These and all subsequently deployed Philippine ALTS, are paid the very same salary as Western native English-speaking ALTS.

Chesham Recruitment Inc. is very proud to be Interac`s exclusive recruitment agency in the Philippines and we were instrumental, with our colleagues in Interac, in opening up this fantastic opportunity for Philippine ALTS. We have already placed a very large number of first-rate Philippine ALTS in Japan and Interac has been very pleased with the high level of professionalism and competence which they have all demonstrated. To date, all Philippine ALTS who have successfully completed an Employment Contract and who wished to stay on have been offered subsequent Employment Contracts.

We are now recruiting for a large number of ALTS for the 2025 Japanese Academic School Year, with a planned departure in March 2025.

Please note that as a Philippine national, you cannot apply directly to Interac, as all Philippine ALT recruitment and processing is managed by Chesham Recruitment Inc., on Interac`s behalf.

A special note to those with exposure to Japan:

1. If you have an unexpired Japanese visa of any kind stamped in your passport, such as a multiple entry visa for example, you must declare this to Chesham at the time of your initial application.
2. If you have secured employment in the past with an employer in Japan, but you have not taken up that employment, you must declare this to Chesham at the time of your application, especially if you have been issued with a Certificate of Eligibility by the Japanese immigration department and/or you have had a Japanese work visa stamped in your passport.
3. If you have previously worked in Japan you must have secured employment with the appropriate visa allowing you to legally work in Japan and you must provide evidence that your exit from Japan strictly complied with Japanese immigration regulations. These two conditions are mandatory, in order to allow Interac to potentially apply for the necessary instructor visa allowing you to work as an ALT with Interac in the public-school system in Japan.
4. You need to provide to Chesham copies of all the items referred to in this note, at the time of your initial application.
